I am delighted to announce that my work, entitled 'Four Birds At A Dance', was accepted for
The Society of Scottish Artists annual show 2011 at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. It won the Mansfield Park Gallery Prize.
The show has just opened and runs through until Thursday 3rd of March.

The RSA Open Exhibition 2010 - 'Flightless Bird Sitting'
This is a photo of the 'Flightless Bird Sitting' print that went down well at the RSA. The exhibition closed on the 15th of December. If you are one of the 23 red dots, thank you very much and please keep in touch. Thank you to all the RSA staff for their help and enthusiasm.

The Line Gallery Linlithgow has just opened it's Winter Exhibition, '19th Angel'. I have 3 ink drawings on cotton included in this exhibition. It looks absolutely beautiful. Other items from my 'Dancing & Sitting Birds Show' are also available to buy.

Royal Scottish Academy Open Exhibition 2010
I have just been given the fantastic news that one of my screen prints, 'Flightless Bird Sitting' has been accepted for this years RSA Open Exhibition. The RSA's prestigious exhibition opens on Saturday October 30th and closes on Wednesday 15th of December.
Falkirk's Park Gallery at Callender House - Winter Warmth 2010
Myself and 24 other artists who use recycled materials and eco friendly design have work on show at the Park Gallery, in Callender House, Falkirk from 30th October to 8th of January. I have plenty of cards, badges and prints for sale!

The Exhibition The Line Gallery opens this Saturday 4th of September and here is what they have to say about the work...
"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, close bosom friend of the abiding sun ... How many of us will remember this from schooldays and shiver a little.
Now is the season for the birds to gather together and for the long flight south to begin. It always seems a sad time to me, 'though I do crane my neck to watch the skeins of geese as they move farther and farther away in the sky. Ewan John, however, has an antidote for all this whimsy. His energetic drawn and screen printed creations swoop and dance across the page with sometimes an elegance, sometimes a poise, which always brings a smile. Large bellied and graceful, their exploits will remove incipient gloom. They will be joined by a collection of artists books, badges and ephemera to please all."

It is called, 'Low Expectations', (after Dickens) By Ewan John and is a collection of drawings, poems and nonsense.
